Morning Walk With Daddy
- Yee tried to open the umbrella. Daddy helped her and she had fun balancing herself while holding the umbrella and her beloved Elmo's bag. Yee tried to run while holding the two items. Daddy taught her to hold the upper end of the handle so that it was easier and she did it. Yee used the umbrella to point at the ant and said,"蚂蚁” and then pointed at the grass and said "草". Then Yee passed Daddy her bag and continued to play with the umbrella. Soon she had played enough with the umbrella and asked Daddy for her bag again!
- At the nursery, Daddy was surprised that when Yee was about to take off her shoes, she passed her bag to her teacher (instead of Daddy).
Kinder Nursery
Yee-chan did not cry when she came to school today. She was very happy. For the rest of the day, she was in good spirit. We did physical exercise together. Yee-chan was having fun by moving her body. Yee-chan loves “はとぽっぽ体操".

2Y2M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee
Morning Struggle
I let Yee slept in till 9am before I turned on the nursery rhymes to lure her to wake up. We left the house around 9:45am. Yee refused to take the route to school. I tried to turn right at different junctions but it did not work. She seemed to recognise the way to school. After 40 minutes, I was exasperated. It was 10:30am (My Japanese class at the community centre started at 10am). I walked her home to take the bike. Yee boarded the bike willingly. Outside the school, she refused to get down from the bike. After much persuasion, Yee still refused to get down. I had no choice but to carry her down. Yee cried terribly. Inside the school, I passed her to her teacher and left for my Japanese class.
Kinder Nursery
Yee-chan also cried when she came to school today. After cuddling her, she gradually stopped crying. She may be in this manner for a while. I am very happy that she came to school. We played with dolls today. Yee-chan played happily with the kangaroo doll.
Potty Training: 15:00
Feedback from teacher: Yee-chan did not take nap.
On Our Way Home
- It was drizzling so I decided to walk instead of riding the bike. On our way to Lawson store (100yen store), Yee wanted to make left at a junction (I think her teacher brought her to a nearby park by that way). She was standing in the middle of a small road and refuse to walk with me. I let her standing there crying (while keeping a keen eye on any vehicles coming this way). Then I told her sternly, "Yee, do not repeat what you did this morning." Yee turned to look at me. I continued, "We're going to the store. Come and hold Mummy's hand." Yee stood there thinking. After a while, she gave me a smile, walked towards me and held my hand.
- I wondered what was the difference between this incident and the morning?
Puzzle Time
Yee loves puzzle and plays with them everyday. It was interesting to observe that Yee loved to put all four puzzles together and played with them.

Bedtime
I thought Yee would sleep early since she did not have any nap today. In fact, she was dozing off during dinner time. But this little girl refused to sleep at 10:10pm! Her eyes are heavy but she refused to sleep. I left the news channel on while laying on the bed with her. It was 10:30pm and Yee was still playing with curtain. Finally, I turned off news channel and the light in the living room. Within 10 minutes, Yee dozed off. I am looking forward to the day whereby Yee would go to bed by herself.

2Y2M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee
Kinder Nursery
Yee-chan cried for a short while when she came to school. She cried for about 5 minutes. After that she was fine. She was dancing during physical exercise. She made two boxes with the blocks. During lunch, she said, “おいしい” (delicious).
Potty Training: 15:00
Yee Quick Imitation
Daddy was showing Mummy a Japanese phrase that he had learned. Daddy had written it on his palm. Moments later, we saw Yee holding a pencil and was writing on her palm. We were surprised at how quick she learned.

2Y2M (JP) - 千葉市稲毛海浜公園
A beautiful day at the seaside

Thank God for friends who dote on Yee

"Camera, camera, who has the greatest body of all?"

We accidentally chanced upon a "free" water resort. We didn't have swimsuits with us but it did not deter the great sacrificing doting Daddy who led Yee into great fun in their pants.

Daddy tried to bring Yee to another place of fun, but Yee preferred to remain at the same place.

On our way home from Mr Donut, Yee suddenly danced and said, "Shake, shake, shake."

2Y2M (JP) - 夏祭り
In the beginning, Yee was aslept ...
It was a long day for Yee. She went to Japanese class with us, followed by swimming at a free public pool (Our first time this year. It was only opened in summer.)
Finally, the little sleeping beauty woke up...
Performance by children and elderly
Games and stuff at the summer festival
Daddy bought Yee a dog finally ... Daddy and Mummy has been anticipating that Yee would one day ask for a dog and pushed the responsibility to each other. On this special day, Daddy bought Yee her first doggie :-p
Yee walked her beloved home.
2Y2M (JP) - Singing Time
Mummy was so tired after a long day of Japanese class, swimming, summer festival (30minutes from home) and laundry. All Mummy wanted was to do "brain dead" stuff like watching a movie. However, Yee had other things in mind. She wanted to sing the actions songs. And insisted that Mummy sang and acted with her :-(

2Y2M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee
Morning Walk to School
Daddy asked Yee, “石头在那里?”
Yee replied, “石头, 没有。”
Kinder Nursery
We played with dolls in the room today. Yee-chan did not play with her favourite dog but she played with a sheep. When her friend took her toy, she said loudly, “ギャーギャー" and made a fuss. After Yee-chan took it back, she played with her friends happily.
After School Walk
- When we came out of the nursery, Yee did not want to sit on the bike. She wanted to walk. I have been pondering whether I should walk Yee home from the nursery. But I know that Yee enjoyed riding on the bike. Moreover, she got to see a different perspective of things from the bike. Perhaps, I should alternate between riding and walking home.
- It has become a challenge to think about where to bring Yee for a walk. This evening, I decided to bring her to a bookstore near our house.
