2Y10M (JP) - SATY (2/2)

It's been a long time since Yee played on this indoor playground at SATY. When we first came to Japan, Mummy brought Yee here often. It warms Mummy's heart to remember how much Yee has grown in the last two years.

Yee's Display of Affection

Mummy had a delightful surprise. Yee called her "ママちゃん" (mama-chan). Japanese loves to call kids with their names and ends it with ちゃん. When used on adults, it is an affectionate address.

2Y9M (JP) - Miniature Me

It's public holidays in Japan and we head to Ginza for buffet (http://r.gnavi.co.jp/g081207/ ). After the buffet, we went into a Toy building and made a miniature set for the family. Each one cost about 500yen (U$5) -- not bad for precious memory.

Yee had fun pushing the baby stroller.

節分(Setsubun )
- Setsubun ("seasonal division") is a festival held on February 3 or 4, one day before the start of spring according to the Japanese lunar calendar.
- In modern days, the most commonly performed setsubun ritual is the throwing of roasted beans around one's house and at temples and shrines across the country. When throwing the beans, you are supposed to shout "Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!" ("Devils out, happiness in"). Afterwards you should pick up and eat the number of beans, which corresponds to your age.
