2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and we let Yee put on a dress. We did not have the camera with us, so we took photos from our mobile.

Yee tripped on the way home and found comfort in Daddy's shoulder.

We wanted to take only the shadows but Yee kept moving around. So, this is the best we could take.

We were surprised when Yee scrapped the seeds from the water-melon and then passed the water-melon to Daddy.

Reading with Daddy
Daddy placed a pillow on his lap and read. Yee took a pillow, placed it on her lap and started to read too. It is interesting to observe how fast toddler imitates adult's behavior. Another gentle reminder that we must watch our behaviors.

2Y1M (JP) - While You Are Sleeping

Mummy took the photos while Daddy and Yee were sleeping... How sweet!!!

Joining Japanese Class with Mummy and Daddy
We brought Yee to the Japanese class at the community centre to try out. Praise God! Yee was awesome during the class. She was quiet. Mummy kept her busy with tidbits which was a great treat as Mummy hardly gives her any on normal days. Praise God for answering our prayer.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
Today, we did gymnastic in the room. This is the first time Yee tried gymnastic and she was lost. She did not leave my side. After that, she played with dolls. She played happily with her favourite dog stuff toy.
Long Way Home
June is a drizzling season in Japan. As I could not cycle with one hand (while holding umbrella with the other) like most Japanese, I decided to bring Yee's raincoat, umbrella and rain shoes for her. I believe she would enjoy walking in the drizzle. But I was very ... very wrong. Firstly, she refused to wear the hood of the raincoat. Secondly, she refused to hold her umbrella. Thirdly, she wanted me to carry her. I'm four-months pregnant and could not manage to carry her, her bag and umbrella, and walking 15 minutes home. I explained to Yee that I could not carry her while having to carry the bag and umbrella. Yee cried for a long time. So, there it was ... mummy squatting by the roadside with a crying toddler. Finally, Yee yielded and walked. It was difficult to shelter her and myself with my small umbrella.

By the time we reached home, it was 35 minutes and I was totally exhausted. And Yee ... yes my dear daughter ... when she saw me hanging her umbrella on the door knob, she wanted to use it ... after we were inside the house. I was so furious that I reprimanded her and took the umbrella away. Yee cried pretty badly. I ignored her and took a shower to cool down. While drying off, I heard Yee calling "mummy, mummy..." in her little sweet voice. Hearing that melted my heart and ther was no anger left. I just hugged my little darling and kissed her non-stop. She is the second greatest blessings in mummy's life ... of course, daddy is the greatest blessing.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
Yee-chan cried when she came to school. But she quickly stopped crying as her friends were watching. Today, we played at ζŠΌεˆ‡γ‚Š park. Yee-chan was very happy sitting on the swing. On our way back, Yee-chan joined the queue and walked. She loves to walk.
Way Home
This evening, after parking the bike, I took Yee for a walk around the neighbourhood. She enjoyed it. We stopped by the ballet school where Yee stood there watching for a while.
Doing It Differently
Yee has been removing her socks while sitting down. Today, she stood on one leg and tried to pull the sock off her feet. It was an interesting sight as she was trying to gain balance and held on to the wall. I was puzzled at this new act. Then, I realized that I just took my socks off while standing. See how fast kids learn by watching us.

This morning, Yee gave me a cookie. Thank you very much. Today, we went to ι§…ε‰ε…¬εœ’。We made a lot of things in the sand box. On our way back, we looked at the fountain. Yee-chan was very happy to see so much water.Yee put the towel into the cup herself. I think she wants to do things by herself.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
Today, we went to 南沖(みγͺみおき)Park. Yee-chan climbed the stairs of the slide. Yee was scared, she gripped my clothes and said, “Ah, ah”. I didn’t think that she wanted me to slide with her, so I said, “Yee-chan, it’s ok. Go ahead.” She slided down by herself.
New Way of Addressing Herself
Whever Yee saw her photos, she used to say, "Koh Yee!" These few days, she has been calling herself, "Koh Yee さん" (Ms Koh Yee). I wonder where she learned it from.
