1Y10M - "Daddy" Beddo

1Y10M - Daily Walk with Yee

I was trying to teach Yee a new word. I said "thumb" and before I could show her my thumb, Yee sticked out her tongue to show me. No wonder people say that kids often amuses the adults. Then I did the "thumb-up" gesture and tried my best to pronoun "thumb"and "tongue"as clearly as I could.

During super, I was trying to feed Yee her medicine from a mini cup. Yee took the cup from my hand, placed it on the table and said firmly, "go there" and pointed behind her. ... wow my little girl is growing up fast.

While giving her the pastry, I asked Yee to say, "ありがと" instead of thank you. Yee bowed and said, "かと".

Yee was saying "daddy" as she pointed at the ceiling light. After she repeated it a few times, then I realized what she meant. Well, our ceiling light has a string attached to it where you can pull it to change the brightness of the light. At home, the only person who will carry Yee and let her pull the string is none other than her beloved ... Daddy.

During bedtime, Yee talked a lot. At first, she was singing a song that I was not familiar with. I suspected it is something that she learns from nursery. Later, she kept saying, "先生、あよ。
先生、あよ" I corrected her, "先生、おはよ ございます。" (Good morning, teacher) When I listened carefully, Yee was saying, "先生、あよ。先生、あよ。bye bye". Then I thought she could be reciting the parting words that students always said when they are leaving the nursery:
"Yeeチャン 帰ります。 (Yee is going home)
先生、さよなら。 (Goodbye, teacher)
皆さん、小夜なら。(Goodbye everyone)
bye, bye."

From now on, talking with Yee is going to be very fun as we try to figure out if she is speaking English, Mandarin or Japanese.

1Y10M - Daily Walk with Yee

While Yee was having her supper, she said, "おいしー" (three syllabus). The actual Japanese word is おいしい, which means "delicious". Yee other fave Japanese words are "ここ", "こっち". Both means "here".

Near bedtime, I always try to brush Yee's teeth. Well, I said try because Yee always wants to do it herself. Tonight, I took the toothbrush. Yee saw it and shook her head. Next she took the toothbrush from me and walked to the bathroom and put it back on the container. Not giving up, I tried again 10-15mins later, Yee again took the toothbrush and put it back in the container in the bathroom.
