2Y4M (JP) - Ballet Affection

Thursday, September 17, 2009
During reading time, Mummy took the Ballet School Book to familiarize Yee with the movements and exercise. Mummy showed Yee her ballet costume and shoes. Yee wanted to put them.

Yee did her "turning" a few rounds. Unfortunately, Mummy did not manage to catch it on video.

2Y4M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
We went to "東沖" park today. Yee-chan stood in front of the swing and said, “せんせー" (teacher). When she sat on the swing, she said, “せんせー" again. When pushed, she was very happy. When she was sitting on the swing, a cat appeared in the park. Yee-chan looked at the cat and said,"ねこ、ねこ" (cat, cat). Yee was coughing during her nap.
Thank God for Protection
While Yee was climbing up the stairs, she lost her balance and fell backward. Thank God that Mummy was behind her and caught her on time. Mummy was glad that she decided to walk behind Yee today as Mummy sometimes walked ahead of Yee. This was the first time that Yee fell from the stair. Mummy told herself that from now onwards, she would always be behind Yee when she climbed up the stair and infront of her when she walked down.
Teeth-brushing
Instead of holding the bucket for Yee, Mummy decided to let Yee do everything herself.

2Y4M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Morning Call
In the morning, Yee was lying on the bed and Mummy told her, "Mummy pulled you up." Yee promptly responded, "Wake up self" (wake up myself). And Yee pulled herself up and got down from the bed.
Kinder Nursery
We did physical exercise this morning. Yee was very good at ノリノリ dance. Yee was dancing beside me in front of everyone and I told her, “Yee-chan, very good.”
Mealtime
While chewing her food, Yee said, "bone" and spit out the food. Mummy found a fish bone. Mummy was glad that Yee could spit out fish bone.

2Y4M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
We really appreciate that you are coming to school earlier. Yee is doing well at class but could you try not to stay with her too long in the morning? I understand that you want to make sure that she is ok. But if you stay longer with her, she would miss you so much. We don't mind her crying. Thanks for your co-operation.
Playtime

Daddy and Mummy were surprised when Yee used her second and third fingers to form a 'scissor-shape' and picked up coins from the floor and put them into the coin bank. The greater surprise was neither Daddy nor Mummy taught nor demonstrated the act to her.

2Y4M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

This picture reminded Mummy of the days in Savannah where we watched the kids practicing American football at Forsyth Park. Here, Daddy and Yee were watching students practicing soccer.

Yee loves to walk on the yellow path.

Yee is Daddy little girl ... always.

Yee refused to use any escalator. She climbed up and down all the staircases at the different stations.

Yee doing 'cheers' poses at Mummy's request.

2Y4M (JP) - Yee Third Ballet Class

Yee's ballet instructor, 鹿野浩子(カノヒロコ)

Today, Daddy sacrificed his class to look after Yee at home. Daddy wanted Yee to sleep in late so that Yee would not be tired during her ballet class. Last week, Yee was sleepy during the class. About 15 minutes before the class ended, Yee walked to us and started to remove her clothes, shoes and socks. We thought perhaps it was too tiring for her to accompany us to our Japanese class from 10am to 12noon and then rushed home for lunch before leaving for her 1:30pm ballet class. Yee really slept in late till 10am, instead of 8:30am. She was in high-spirit when we went for the ballet class. She changed into her new costume, shoes and socks which the instructor had helped us to purchase. Daddy and Mummy were excited to watch Yee ‘dance’ in her new attire.… but we had a totally new and unexpected experience …
Not knowing why, Yee was extremely restless during class today. She wandered and would not follow the instructor.

Yee remove her shoes and socks in the midst of the class and then put them back again.

This is the only part that Yee co-operated with the instructor. Perhaps, it was because ... Mummy has been playing 'skipping' with Yee at home.
