2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Surprise Morning Toilet Visit
Yee stood outside the toilet and told Mummy, "Toilet,"
Mummy asked, "Do you want to use the toilet?"
Yee nodded her head.
So, Mummy grabbed this golden opportunity and let her use it.

Spoken Words
While watching a Japanese kids program in the morning, Yee turned to Mummy and said, "butterfly." Mummy looked at the TV screen. The hosts were singing a song and part of the subtitles read: "ちょう(蝶)" which means butterfly. Mummy was surprised that what Yee heard in Japanese, she repeated it to Mummy in English.
Say "Cheese"
Outside the community centre (after Daddy and Mummy's Japanese class), Mummy asked Yee to look at the camera and Yee did her poses.

Yee faking her cry.
Yee complaining that she hurt her legs.

Seiyu
Whenever we are at Seiyu, Yee would run towards the shopping cart with blue baby seat. She would climb up on her own.

2Y4M (JP) ~ Ballet Diary ~ Daddy's Query

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Surprise Potty Time
Mummy was surprised that she could get Yee to sit on the potty in the morning.

Youthful Daddy

Daddy looked young and energetic in this outfit.

Kinder Nursery

We went to "南根(みなみね)" park today. Yee and her friend queued for their turn to play on the swing. There were a lot of fallen cicada shells on the ground. Yee-chan looked at them and ran away laughing.

Journey Home From Nursery

- Mummy thought it would be a good idea for Yee to walk this evening.

- After Lawson, Yee played happily with the chains outside the store.

Instead of walking home, Yee wanted to go to the library. After the library, Yee walked very slowly ... home. Mummy was tired by the time we reached home at 7pm. It was a long time home as Mummy fetched Yee 15 minutes earlier than usual. Perhaps, Mummy should stick to cycling.
First-time series: Two Sentences of Actions.

- While Mummy was taking her picture, Yee said, "Hold hand. Stop it." This was the first time Yee spoke two sentences of actions. Mummy tried to get Yee to repeat the sentences, but she would not :-(

High Chair

Yee sat comfortably watching Elmo. Mummy was not using flash light initially. Once Mummy used the flashlight, Yee changed her sitting position and did the "1" and "2" signs while her eyes never leave the TV.

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
We did ‘animal exercise’ and ‘alarm exercise’. It was Yee-chan’s first time and she did not dance. She watched her friends danced. Later, we played mini cars and Yee-chan asked, “これ何?" (What’s this?). She also said, “しゃ” (train) on train.
Prayer Request
Mummy is very concerned with Yee's potty training. It is far from success. These few days, Yee stopped telling Mummy that she wants to 'poo'. Maybe it is because Mummy always asked her to use the potty. - "Dear God, please help Yee to be fully toilet-trained. In Jesus name, we pray, amen."
Bath Time
Mummy was surprised when Yee pulled up the plug and said, "No more water" and moved on to keep her toys before the alarm rang. Yee's really Mummy's good girl.
Singing Time
Yee wanted to sing on her own. She did not want Daddy to sing along.
a) Yee sang "小白兔"

b) Yee sang "ABC"

Spoken Words
- Yee wanted to use two cups for her milk. Mummy said, "No." Then Yee cried. Mummy explained to her that she only needed one cup for a drink. After a while, Yee stopped crying. Yee came up to Mummy and said, "Stop crying".
- The other night, while Mummy was working on computer, Yee said, "Stop it" and wanted Mummy to play with her.

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
We had pool time today. Yee-chan loves pool time and was very happy. But when her friends took her bucket, she cried. When given a different bucket, she stopped crying. When it was time to get out of the pool, Yee wanted to play more and cried.
Spoken Words
- This morning, Yee pointed at her breakfast and asked, "何これ。" (What's this?)
- Recently, Yee likes to say "とぶ (跳ぶ)" whenever she jumps. Yee is speaking more Japanese. It's a pity that Daddy and Mummy don't always understand her.
Showertime
- These evenings, Mummy lets Yee play in the bath tub for 15 minutes. Mummy sets an alarm and when it rings, Mummy shows it so Yee and tell her, "time up." Yee will put the toys in the bag and then pull up the plug for the water to drain off.
- Mummy is glad to think of the alarm and implement it from the beginning. It has worked well.

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
Today was the end of summer holidays. We could see that high-spirited Yee-chan was very happy. Did she have many memories of the summer holidays? We have obstacle course in the room today. We put the ball in a basket and walked on the mat. Yee-chan enjoyed herself very much.
Spoken Words
While Mummy was preparing the dinner, Yee looked at Mummy and said, "Eat now."

2Y3M (JP) - 夏休み (Last Day)

Mummy and Yee sent Daddy to the train station. Then we went to the supermarket but it was not opened yet as it was only 9:50am. So, Mummy took Yee for a ride and stopped by the park. It was a wonderful detour as Mummy discovered that Yee could do many things on her own.
Swinging-good-time

Climbing up by herself and standing tall,

From standing position to sitting,

it was interesting to watch Yee moving from the first swing, to the second and finally to the fourth swing. She surely made sure she had fun with all the swings.

Sliding-good-time
This is the first-time Mummy saw Yee playing on this slide. It was high but Yee was in control. Honestly, despite Yee's skillfulness at the slide, Mummy kept a keen eye on Yee all the time.

Yee played non-stop till Mummy had to carry her away to have a snack and drink.
Sanding-good-time
Yee wanted to play in the sandbox, Mummy told her that she had to finish her bun first. And Yee ate quickly and hurried to the sandbox.

As this was an unplanned visit to the park, Mummy did not bring along any toys to play with. Yee took a bucket and spade from the sandbox. The owner, a little girl, saw it and quickly walked up to Yee, stretched out her hand and told Yee to return them to her. Mummy explained to Yee that the toys belonged to the girl. Yee thought for a while and returned them to the owner. I brought Yee to the nearby convenient store and bought the only available suitable toys for her to play at the sandbox.

First-time: Sleeping on the Bike
As Mummy was riding, Yee held on to Mummy's hands (instead of the handle in front of her) and leaned back comfortably. As Mummy expected, Yee had dozed off.

First-time: Napping in the living room
Mummy decided to let Yee sleep in the living room as the bedroom was too warm.

Spoken Words
a) This morning, while feeding the fish and Daddy said, "爸爸在喂鱼。” Yee promptly replied, "鱼饿了。"

b) At dinner time, Mummy said, "Yee, come and eat your dinner." Yee replied, "Eat now?" as if asking for confirmation.

c) During playtime, Yee took the alphabet 'o' and said, "zero".
