New Word: PainfulYee used this word twice today.a) Stepping on the "sliding door rail", Yee lifted her foot and said, "painful". Mummy was surprised to hear it. Yee usually said it in Japanese - "痛い".b) Yee wanted to pat Mummy but she could not control her strength and ended gave Mummy a light slap on Mummy's face. Mummy told Yee to be gentle and guided her hand to pat Mummy's cheek instead. As Yee patted, she said, "painful?"
Kinder NurseryWe played with origami today. Yee-chan chose a yellow origami and folded it into half. She was good at pasting the square origami and happily said, "先生". She would ‘pulled out’ those that was pasted.
Journey Home
- Mummy wanted to buy milk at the Lawson store. Yee did not want to get down from the bike. Instead she pointed straight and said, "Go there." Mummy stood there thinking hard, where could she bring Yee. Then, Mummy asked, "Do you want to go to the library?" Yee nodded her head and said, "Yes."
- We took elevator to the Adult section as Mummy wanted to borrow books on learning Japanese. Yee took a book and sat on the floor beside Mummy. Yee was getting restless. So, Mummy told her that we are going to the children section. Upon hearing that, Yee stood up immediately. Mummy was surprised that Yee could understand what children section was.
- We stood outside the children while Yee ate her banana. (Yee was hungry and asked for it. Mummy always brought a banana along whenever she fetched Yee. It served two purposes - Firstly, to feed Yee if she was hungry. Secondly, it was a good way to make Yee ate banana frequently as Mummy did not have other food).
- Mummy explained to Yee that we could only enter the children section after she had finished her banana. Once Yee took had last bite of the banana, she walked straight into the children section. Mummy was impressed with how well Yee understood what Mummy had said.
- Yee happily walked around the children section, taking books and sat on various places to read - chair by the table and long sofa.
