Model-in-the-Making?
This morning, Yee stood by the window. When Mummy said, "Say cheese." Yee did many poses ... naturally

We played in the pool today. Yee-chan was happily swimming and filling the bucket with water. She had a great time. Then it was time to empty the pool. She remained in the pool till the end.

After Nursery Walk
At Lawson, Yee touched a pack of tidbits and it fell onto the floor. Yee simply walked away. Mummy asked her to pick it up, Yee shook her head and said, "No." Mummy explained to Yee that the packet dropped because she touched it.
Yee tried to distract Mummy by pointing at a dog statue on the cashier counter. Mummy persisted and told Yee gently that she needed to pick up the packet. After a while, Yee walked back to the packet, pick it up and placed it back on the same spot from where it dropped.

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Morning Walk To Nursery
- Minutes after Daddy and Yee left for nursery, the door bell rang. They were back because Yee pointed at her head and told to Daddy, "帽子。" Mummy put on the hat for Yee. Yee really looked like a Japanese kid with the hat on.
- Daddy pointed at his watch and told Yee, “手表。小艺没有手表。"
Yee was quiet and thought for a while. Then she touched Daddy's head and said, "帽子, 没有。" Daddy was in great surprise.
Kinder Nursery
We did physical exercise today. Yee-chan was happily dancing. She danced well. After that, she raced. As she ran, she said, "ヨーイドン" cheerfully. She really ran a lot. She persevered in running till the end.

Potty Training: 15:00 (sat only)

After Nursery Walk
- Yee walked into a different car park (from yesterday). She pointed at a car and told me, "White car". Then she went around pointing at the different cars. She stopped in front of a car and said, "Nose". I was surprised. Then I realized that she was pointing at a Toyota logo in front of the car.

- Yee said, "Four" and pointed at the number on the car park lot. I asked her, "Where is three?". She ran to the next lot and pointed at the number. She did the same for two. When it came to the number one, she said, "Right here, one." I was impressed that she used the phrase 'right here'.

When You Child Is Too Quiet

Mothers are right when they said that when your kids are quiet, better check on them. I was working on the computer when I realized that Yee was unusually quiet. Then I know why ... see below photos:

There goes Mummy precious Prickly Heat, specially brought from Singapore.

After all the fun, Mummy got Yee to clean up.

Having Fun With Her Little Brother's Stuff

- Our neighbour gave us a bouncer this evening (her 13 months-old son had outgrown it). Yee was excited as she looked at it. She said, "Koh Yee's". Mummy replied, "No, darling. It is 弟弟." "'弟弟," Yee repeated as she looked at it. After showering, Yee wanted to sit on 弟弟's bouncer. Well, Mummy thought 'just let her enjoy it'. See, how Yee enjoyed her new 'chair'.

New Fave Phrase
- These few days, Yee new fave word is "I Know, I Know". And she used it numerously time this evening.
- Mummy wanted to help Yee to put on her diaper. Yee shook her head and said, "I Know, I Know".
- After washing her hands, Yee would wipe her hands dry with her personal towel. But it is often not dry. Mummy wanted to teach Yee how to dry her hands properly. But Yee replied, "I Know, I Know".
- Mummy's mobile was ringing. Yee had it and refused to give it to Mummy. As she walked away from Mummy, she said,
"I Know, I Know".

After School Walk
- With a two-years-old kid, things did not happen the way Mummy planned. Mummy wanted to bring Yee to the library right from school. On our way, Yee stopped to play at a car park. She ran up to the two cars and pointed at them separately and said, "White car. Black car." Then Mummy asked, "Where the blue car?" Yee ran to the nearest car and said, "Blue car." Next Mummy asked for a red car. Yee could not find one as the only red car available was actually dark maroon. Nonetheless, Mummy pointed at the car from a distant. Yee instantly identified the red car from a row of other colored cars.
- Mummy really wanted to go to the library today to borrow books for Yee. So, we reached the library 30 minutes later than plan. When leaving, Yee refused to co-operate twice (top of the staircase and at the automatic sliding door. By the time we reached home, it was 7:30pm. Mummy was exhausted while Yee was still full of energy.

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Morning Affair
- For two consecutive mornings (after the weekend), Yee did not cry on her way to school. On Sunday evening, Daddy told Yee that she was going to school the next day and she must not cry. On Morning & Tuesday mornings, Daddy and Mummy did the same and Yee was fine.
- Mummy realized that it is important to prepare children for what is to come. Mummy think that for the last few weeks, Yee thought that she was going out and was surprised when she was being led to school.
- New Chinese words that Daddy taught Yee. Daddy showed Yee his mobile and said, "电话" Yee repeated after Daddy. Then Daddy kept his mobile in his pant's pocket. A while later, Daddy asked, "爸爸的电话在哪里?" Yee reached into Daddy's pocket to retrieve it.
Kinder Nursery
We played in the pool today. Yee-chan swam a lot. And together with friends, took buckets of water and poured onto the body.
Feedback From Teacher
Yee wore her diaper on her own today.
Milestone: Yee Taught Mummy A Game
- Last night, Yee held Mummy's palm in her left hand. Then put all the fingers tips (right hand) together to form an inverted cone. As Yee was saying, "ば、ば、し”, her five fingertips were 'bouncing' on Mummy's palm. Yee repeated the phrase twice and then, used her fingers to tickle Mummy's neck. She repeated this a couple of times and then requested an exchange of role.
-
Yee was playing the same game with her fave dancing chick (two nights later). Mummy quickly took a video and managed to capture a bit.

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
It has been a while since we played in the pool. Yee-chan was very happy when changing into swimsuit. After the preparation exercise, she entered the pool. Yee-chan was happily crawling around in the pool.
New Puzzle
Daddy bought a new puzzle for Yee. It was much bigger and have more pieces to work on. Yee loved puzzle and had been playing with it a few times a day. Though she had a new one, Yee did not forget her old ones, which she played first before switching to the new one this evening.

Shower Time
Some time last week, Yee suddenly fancied taking a shower in the bathtub, under the shower head. She would turn around and let the water poured down on her.

Playtime
- Mummy told Yee to put her book back onto the shelf before she could play 'table tennis'. Yee was eager and busy in opening the box to take out toys and with her outstretched hand said, "Mummy, どうぞ." signaling Mummy to put back the book for her.
- Yee gave Mummy a yellow bat while she had the orange one. After playing for a while, Mummy decided to use the reverse side of the bat which is green. Mummy showed Yee and told her that. Yee came near to Mummy, pointing at the green ball in her hand and then at Mummy's bat and said, "same, green".

2Y3M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Yee was in high spirit on our way to church.

We had lunch at Ringerhut. The adults were happily chatting away. Then we realized that Yee was feeling being neglected ... as witnessed below.

Mummy was standing at the opposite side of the traffic. Yee wanted to cross the road during "Red Man". Daddy had to pull her back hard.

Yee played happily while waiting for Daddy.

We were at a second-hand shop where Yee spotted this pair of winter boots and insisted on wearing them. It was only 50 yen (S$0.75). So we thought "well, just let her have fun." Mummy thought Yee looked pretty trendy with this boots.
