2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Milestones - Yee Dress Herself For School
Yee has been wearing pants on her own. Last night, she wore her shirt without any help. This morning, she put on her own shirt and then pants. While she was dressing herself, I hoped that she has the correct side as she refused any help. Her top was fine but her pants was wrong side (fortunately, it was not obvious). And she was watching nursery rhymes from youtube while dressing. This little girl can surely multi-task.

Kinder Nursery
Today, we went to 三町畑(さんちゅうはた)park. Yee-chan played happily on the swing. When we returned to the nursery, we bathed. Yee-chan did not cry at all and stood motionlessly. After shower, she was very happy.
Independence
After shower, I let Yee wore the diaper, shirt and pants on her own. She took her time to wear them. When she finished, this is her achievement ...
her top is reverse.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
We went o 南根(みなみね)park. We have not been there for a while. Yee-chan sat on the swing. There were many pigeons. Yee-chan said, “Pigeons” and chased them. Yee-chan likes pigeons very much.
Drawing Time
We have not drawn for a while. This evening, I was glad that I did it with Yee. While I was drawing with her, Yee pushed her little green stool to me and asked me to sit on it. Then she sat in front of me and continued to draw. I realize that she did not want me to write. I was surprised at the tactic that she used. Later, she 'taught' dancing chick to draw.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
Today, we played blocks, toys and playhouse in the room. Yee-chan likes dog toys very much. Friends passed her dogs toys and she was happy. Then she hugged Minnie doll. “Teacher, teacher,” she asked me to see.
“不要,不要!”
Yee did not want me to take video of her. She wanted me to push the sliding door for her.

Sitting on the Ball

Ballerina In The Making
Look! We have a ballerina in the making. Look at her balancing on pointed toes.

Well, Yee was trying to climb the stool. This is the first time Mummy saw her climbing a stool.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and we let Yee put on a dress. We did not have the camera with us, so we took photos from our mobile.

Yee tripped on the way home and found comfort in Daddy's shoulder.

We wanted to take only the shadows but Yee kept moving around. So, this is the best we could take.

We were surprised when Yee scrapped the seeds from the water-melon and then passed the water-melon to Daddy.

Reading with Daddy
Daddy placed a pillow on his lap and read. Yee took a pillow, placed it on her lap and started to read too. It is interesting to observe how fast toddler imitates adult's behavior. Another gentle reminder that we must watch our behaviors.

2Y1M (JP) - While You Are Sleeping

Mummy took the photos while Daddy and Yee were sleeping... How sweet!!!

Joining Japanese Class with Mummy and Daddy
We brought Yee to the Japanese class at the community centre to try out. Praise God! Yee was awesome during the class. She was quiet. Mummy kept her busy with tidbits which was a great treat as Mummy hardly gives her any on normal days. Praise God for answering our prayer.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

Kinder Nursery
Today, we did gymnastic in the room. This is the first time Yee tried gymnastic and she was lost. She did not leave my side. After that, she played with dolls. She played happily with her favourite dog stuff toy.
Long Way Home
June is a drizzling season in Japan. As I could not cycle with one hand (while holding umbrella with the other) like most Japanese, I decided to bring Yee's raincoat, umbrella and rain shoes for her. I believe she would enjoy walking in the drizzle. But I was very ... very wrong. Firstly, she refused to wear the hood of the raincoat. Secondly, she refused to hold her umbrella. Thirdly, she wanted me to carry her. I'm four-months pregnant and could not manage to carry her, her bag and umbrella, and walking 15 minutes home. I explained to Yee that I could not carry her while having to carry the bag and umbrella. Yee cried for a long time. So, there it was ... mummy squatting by the roadside with a crying toddler. Finally, Yee yielded and walked. It was difficult to shelter her and myself with my small umbrella.

By the time we reached home, it was 35 minutes and I was totally exhausted. And Yee ... yes my dear daughter ... when she saw me hanging her umbrella on the door knob, she wanted to use it ... after we were inside the house. I was so furious that I reprimanded her and took the umbrella away. Yee cried pretty badly. I ignored her and took a shower to cool down. While drying off, I heard Yee calling "mummy, mummy..." in her little sweet voice. Hearing that melted my heart and ther was no anger left. I just hugged my little darling and kissed her non-stop. She is the second greatest blessings in mummy's life ... of course, daddy is the greatest blessing.

2Y1M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee

On rare morning where Mummy managed to tie Yee's hair.

Kinder Nursery
Today, we had anthropometric and made Fathers day’s gift. Yee-chan chose her favourite pen. She drew a lot of patterns on the necktie. Today, we also have toilet-training. Yee did not sit on the potty. It may some time.
