1Y9M - Moment like this ....
It was a cloudy day till it was almost time to pick Yee up, then it started to drizzle. So I had to use the stroller. By the time I reached the nursery, the drizzle has stopped :-(
Once home, Yee refused to get down from the stroller ... again. This time, I just carried her down. She stormed back to the stroller and kept crying. I left her to cry by the stroller for a good 30 mins.
Then I brought out the new toys to "lure" her. She did not "jump up" and came forward as I expected. Here how she looked:
Since she was not coming forward, I took the toys out of the packaging, and started to brush the doll's hair. Yee remained where she was. Then I took the toy's hair clip and pinned it on the doll's hair. Instantly, Yee stood and came forward!!! She pointed at the hair clip and then her hair. I put the clip on her but it wouldn't stay. Anyway, Yee is a sweetie-once-again.

1Y9M - Moment like this ....
It has been raining the whole day and I did not get to do the grocery shopping. The rain finally stopped at around 4pm. And I had a brilliant idea - I could use the baby stroller to kill two birds, i.e. buy grocery and fetch Yee (I usually use the bike to fetch Yee from the nursery). Everything was well till we reached home.
Yee refused to get down from the stroller. For the next 1hr 30min (from 6:15pm onwards), there was no peace at home. The first time I carried Yee out of the stroller and took her to the room. She stormed back to the stroller and stood there crying for a good 30mins. Then I succumbed and put her back on the stroller. But she was still wining. Didn't want to spoil her, I walked away many times. I told her to call "Mummy" when she wanted to get down. I checked on her numerous time as I was not too sure if it was a good idea to "dump"her there. So, everytime I appeared, I asked, "Do you want me to carry you down?" Yee shook her head. And I found myself repeating "Call Mummy when you want to come down" many times.
Finally at 8:15pm, I decided to end the "battle". I carried her down and brought her to the room. Yee struggled and cried while I tried to distract her with her own photos when she was 4-months-old. Among the photos was a recent one taken on V-day. Daddy was feeding Yee. Yee saw the photo and suddenly remembered that she had not eaten dinner. Then, there was peace. As I fed her dinner, Yee becomes my sweetie-once-again, smiling and talking to me.

1Y9M - Zzz out!
Yee had so much fun that she refused to stop playing the slide. She cried all the way home as we struggled to calm her. And home, the only person that could calm Yee was ... Barney. As she watched Barney, she zzz out around 4:30pm! And refreshed 3h30min later ... at 8pm. Consequently, she refused to sleep till 1am!!!!!!!!!

First time Yee played this extremely high slide in our presence. I think her nursery teachers let her try but she was too scared.

It has been a while since we brought Yee to the playroom (beside the library). Yee had so much fun that she refused to leave.
1Y9M (JP) - Daily Walk with Yee
Yee behaves differently this evening:
- Out of the nursery, she refused to get on the seat on the bike.
- At the bottom of our apartment building, she refused to walk into the lift lobby. We walked around the block for a while before I managed to carry her and ... finally got home.
- After dinner, I took the handkerchief to clean her hands and face. She shook her head and pointed at the basin. She wanted to wash her hand under the tap.
Feedback from teacher:
For the past few days, Yee finished all her lunch!!! Today, when she finished her lunch, she asked for more. She refused to move till teacher gave her extra serving of sphagetti and she ate up all!! No wonder, she is not eating as much for dinner now.

We took the school bus and went to the park. Yee took our bus before but she was little a bit worried? She cried until we reached the park. But she was fine as usual in the park. On our way back from the park, Yee took a nap in the bus so she couldn't take a nap in the school....

For snack, the children had bread with strawberry jam. Yee drank the milk but did not eat the bread. I shared with the teacher that Yee loves peanut butter.

We went to the park. Yee wanted to try the swings again. But when she sat on it, she cried. She really wanted to try but was fearful. There was apple and cabbage salad. When I fed her, she was like “What's that!!” So she didn’t eat it at all.

Nursery Report:
We went to the playground. Yee was very interested in the swings. But she was scared to sit on it alone. So I cuddled her and played on swing with her but she refused. She preferred to push the swing by her hands. She ate up all the bread at lunch today!

Nursery Report:We went to the park and made bubbles. Yee had fun with it. She seemed to love Yakisoba (noodles) and she ate it all up. She pointed at the Yakisoba for another helping. So I thought she still wanna to eat it, I gave her some and she ate it. I’m so glad that she eats a lot lately.

Yee's unique way of expressing her love:
When I was having dinner with Yee, I was mesmerised by her big round eyes. I looked into her eyes and told her "I love you" twice. Yee reacted by taking my hand and brought it to her lips. "She gonna to kiss me," I cried excitedly within my heart. Patiently and eagerly, I waited for her kiss. Then *spurt*, Yee spitted her food onto my hand !!!! ... Well, I guess this is just Yee's another unique way of expressing her love.

All mothers understand the weariness of packing up after playtime. Seldom do we succeed in getting our toddler to pack up. Often, they smile at you (if they don't ignore you) and walk away. This evening, Yee did a commendable act. After playing with her toys, she took the initiative to pack up the toys ... without mummy asking."Yee, mummy is really proud of you." and I gave her a big fat kiss on her lips.

Yee played with Masato and Yuki at the park. They made something on the sandbox. I guess they were pretending to cook?? I held her and played on the swing but she had fear? She totally froze and had no expression.

Nursery Report:
We took a walk to the playground. When teacher sang, Yee was swinging her body and sang together. Lately, she likes a particular area in the stroller. She chooses to ride on THE area in the stroller. So when other kid was trying to stand in her area, she was upset! However, even she was upset, she was so cute.
